OBM conference

Február 3-án szombaton volt a húsvéti turnéra felkészítő bábkonferencia Budapesten, amit a Palánta Alapítvány szervezett.

We gathered from several parts of the country, even from across the border, from Transylvania.

Pastor Gyuri Kováts shared an encouraging message about our identity and our basic task related to it (based on I. Peter 2:9).

Two puppet shows were also presented: "At the foot of the big tree" and "The cunning relative". The former is a short piece independent of the holidays, which is aimed at preschool children, the second is the Easter puppet show, which we also plan to rehearse for our upcoming Easter tour.

There were also short experience reports from Nyírség and Nagyvárad. It was good to get an insight into the lives and challenges of other puppet teams.

We were also able to build relationships during the breaks. It was nice to meet again puppeteers we met at the puppeteer and children's mission camps.

This year's puppet camp and children's mission camp have also been announced. The puppet camp will take place at the end of June in Túrkeve, and the children's mission camp will take place in Szólád, near Lake Balaton, at the beginning of August.

We have had good experiences with both camps, so we plan to participate in them again this year.

At the conference, we managed to buy the equipment for the Easter show, and we had the opportunity to bring 7,000 Palánta publications, which we will be able to give as gifts to the children during the Easter puppet shows. In addition to comics, playful and engaging tasks, and coloring pages, the publications also contain QR codes, which children can use to listen to songs and stories.

We are very grateful that we once again have the opportunity to distribute such gifts in addition to the puppet shows. We can't wait to get these to the kids 🙂
